Spring Cottage Reveal: Part 1
Welcome to our Spring Cottage Project! This charming project is bright, sweet and has all the cozy feels associated with home.
The exterior siding of this house features Sherwin Williams Retreat, a warm, saturated green, which is paired with Sherwin Williams Pure White for the trim and remaining architectural details. This color combination plays beautifully with the warm, rich wood tones found in the front door and the decking color. The stunning tropical landscaping serves as a subtle reminder of the island life vibes and salty air from the beach that is just a short walk away.
Throughout the house you will find Sherwin William’s Panda White on the walls, board and batten casing the stairwells, wide plank wood floors, and chrome hardware and accents throughout the home. Upon entering the front door you’re greeted with an inviting grand entry on the ground level of the home which serves multiple roles including as a mudroom, entertaining space, and the perfect spot for a cozy retreat. The room features a herringbone tile rug inset to help designate the space. The addition of the rug adds softness and texture to the room.

Head upstairs to discover the gorgeous kitchen and dining area that is bright, cohesive and littered with subtle coastal nods. Our clients were incredibly excited to help design this custom hood and wanted this to be one of the stars of the kitchen.
The wood element of the hood adds a warmth and organic element to the feel of the kitchen. Knowing the hood was going to be a focal point we added in a custom herringbone blue tile inset to serve as a decorative element and backsplash to the range.
The blue in the tile also speaks to the Phillip Jeffries dining room wallpaper which envelops the dining room and adds a cool, collected pattern that completes the space. The client had a custom dining table commissioned and we paired it with a sand and blue pinstripe slipcovered dining chair.

Adjacent to the kitchen is an extended pantry that features additional storage and working space and is highlighted with the most perfect blue subway tile.
Check out these beams! If these beams don’t make your heart go aflutter then you are missing out. This living room is the heart of the home for this family. The living room is where the family gathers and spends time together. We wanted to create a feature wall so adding the trim detail on the wall helps to center the space and the focal area of the room. All of the elements in the living room create a cozy vibe with warmth. Looking at the furniture in this space it doesn’t read beach house, but there are so many elements such as the sandy colored couches, the warm wood tones, and the subtle pops of blue.
